Alongside teaching, Patrick continues to design and make a small number of bespoke furniture pieces each year.

Each piece reflects decades of experience in cabinetmaking and furniture design, with a focus on proportion, durability, and the natural character of the wood.

Approach to Making

Furniture is made using carefully selected materials and traditional techniques where appropriate, with attention paid to both function and form.

The aim is not simply to produce a finished piece, but to create something that will last and sit comfortably within its intended space.

A More Selective Offering

As the focus of Patrick’s work has shifted towards teaching, furniture commissions are now taken on more selectively.

This allows time to be given properly to each project, while ensuring that teaching remains at the centre of the work.
